We're back after driving home an impactful water project, preparing for the arrival of another construction group and writing our second annual impact report!
Here's a run down of the last 2 months at El Terreno.

¡Impact Report Published!
2 years into the project, it's time to take stock of our progress and clarify our vision for the future. With that in mind, we've prepared our impact report for 2022-2023, with details of the work and impact we've achieved in the past 12 months.

Water Project Concludes

After 6 weeks with 5 interns, our water project came to an end with some impressive outcomes! Not only do we now have a strong database of information that can be leveraged for future interns to develop, but we also managed to unite 7 water committees so they can work together on coordinated solutions to the water shortages and contamination our communities face.
"Working on the water project has really given me valuable experience. Having recently graduated from university, I wanted to gain experience in the field and really put my skills into practice and I feel like this internship fulfilled that. The internship mentors taught me so much during my time there and are genuinely amazing mentors. It was an experience I will never forget and will value forever."

Closing the Gap to Completion

Day by day, we edge closer to the completion of our landmark construction on El Terreno, which will include workshop space, office, kitchen and a café/restaurant.
In the last two months we've been closing the sides with doors, windows and walls. There's still many details to work out, but with the support of local workers and our volunteers, we're hoping to begin functioning later this year - if you've got the skills we'd love you to join us!

If you want to travel the world and put your professional skills to use, why not come out to the heart of the Ecuadorian Andes and help us build a Cultural Exchange Centre?
