The following is an El Terreno newsletter published on 28th January 2023

As we step into 2023, we have some changes ahead.. Firstly, a fond farewell to Wilson Morales, an important part of El Terreno's team during 2022.
We also look to continue improve our internship and volunteering programmes, while taking advantage of the rain to begin planting our agroforestry!

Intern Video: Day in the Life
A new year is a great time to begin making plans for your future and thinking big! If you are looking to find a meaningful way to advance your career, our personalised internship programme could be for you.
To give you an inside look into an intern's experience, we've created a video explaining all about the activities, support, free-time opportunities and the difference it has made to participants.
Massive thank you to our previous volunteer, Ainsely (UK), for putting this together.

¡Fairwell Wilson!

Wilson Morales (Ecuador), has been a central figure here at El Terreno throughout the last 12 months. Arriving as a volunteer, then quickly becoming a coordinator and favourite English teacher.
Wilson is now moving on and will be greatly missed.
Thank you Wilson for your dedication and commitment to El Terreno and the children who's loves you have touched. We wish you a prosperous journey forward with Linguistic Haus and what 2023 holds for you. ¡Que te vaya bien!

You too can make a difference in the lives of low-income Ecuadorian communities through a monthly or one-off donation.

Sowing Seeds for 2023

In agriculture, it's essential to take advantage of the seasons. As we enter in the the wet season it's time to get planting!
Through a fantastic plastic bottle exchange programme run by local government, we delivered over 700 bottles for recycling and received 500 native trees to plant in El Terreno and share with the local community.
We have also been working with volunteers and neighbours in designing this year's crop rotation using all-natural techniques.

If you've got green fingers or construction skills, why not join us here in Atandahua as part of our volunteering programme?
