The following is an El Terreno newsletter published on 13th June 2024

We have a lot to share since our last email: we've completed a brand new volunteer building, received another EcuaExplora group and are now back in full swing with new interns doing some amazing projects. It's going to be a jam-packed summer and glad you can join us from afar!

A Brand New Home

For the past 3 years, we called the Atandahua casa comunal home. But now, in less than 4 months, we dedicated ourselves to create a brand new multi-purpose space for our volunteers and interns.
We now can offer space for up to 20 people at a time, with 4 dormitories, 5 showers and fantastic shared space to run all of our activities.
A massive thanks to Nathaniel, Jessica, Flor, Alejandro and Cristian for help with the design, and of course Wilfrido and the team for finishing the building on time and on budget!
If you'd like to join us here in Ecuador and enjoy our new space, check out our volunteer and internship programmes for more!

EcuaExplora Return

After two successful groups in 2023, another cohort of 17 UK volunteers came during April to help us take Gina's house one step closer to completion, while enjoying fun-filled activities here in the Ecuadorian Andes!

Not only did they complete the roof extension, they also dug a septic tank, built a water-filtration system, redecorated the casa comunal, painted a mural on Walter's shop, build some new doors and applied some more adobe!
They also made the most of their free time with the best local trips to Salinas de Guaranda, Chimborazo volcano, cultural activities and the subtropical jungle!
Thanks to all the students from Kendall College for making the trip and leaving their mark here in Atandahua!

Autumn Programmes Open!

After taking a short break at the beginning of this year to complete our brand new building, our programmes are up and running and better than ever!
If you want to immerse yourselves in new cultures, gain hands on experience and make a difference, why contact us to find out what a personal internship this autumn might look like for you?
